Someone hit the pause button on time.
Floating in that gap of still space
The same space at the top of your inhale breath
The relief of letting the breath out,
Of knowing the truth of now,
Just you and the space
A snowfall lays a gentle coat of fear
Covering the excitement and peace
That rests underneath all that you used to know.
Hold on to hope they say,
As they laugh at my sarcastic antics.
